It’s a sad fact, but some people will see the current crisis as an opportunity to take advantage of vulnerable people. We have been asked to share this information with our community, so that residents are more aware of potential scams that could be happening at this time.
A central hub has been set up for local group organisers to let us know what they are doing in their community to support their neighbours. We have a team on hand who are experienced at coordinating community projects and supporting local groups.
In order to maintain our commitment to the people of Uttlesford, we will be working in partnership with Uttlesford District Council to coordinate volunteer support and help requests across the district. Details of how to register support requests or to register as a volunteer will be announced shortly.
The ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) Network needs your help for a crucial census. Carried out once every ten years the survey will provide up to date information about community halls and the social and economic impact they deliver for their communities.
