Uttlesford Foodbank provides emergency food and care parcels to individuals and families during times of crisis.
As well as receiving food for a minimum of 3 days, users may be directed to further help and support if required. This service can be used up to 3 times, with a break of a month before re-referral.
Anyone who is struggling to buy food for themselves or their family can be referred to a foodbank. Referrals are made by local care professionals such as Health Visitors, GPs, Social Workers, CAB, Church Pastoral Workers or The Salvation Army.
An electronic referral is sent via Uttlesford Frontline to either Uttlesford Foodbank in Saffron Walden, Uttlesford Community Hub in Great Dunmow, Library/Information Centre Thaxted or Station House in Takeley.

Foodbank in Dunmow is open between 9.00 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
