Due to the current refugee crisis, CVSU staff and volunteers had come together with the local community in Great Dunmow to support those coming over from Afghanistan. Throughout the past week staff and volunteers helped collect donations while working with the British Red Cross who delivered them. An incredible amount of donations were gifted at The Community Hub including brand new items such as clothing for children, men, women and lots of new toys and baby supplies such as nappies. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping including the community with the current situation and we are sure that this will make a huge difference to those who are starting a new life in the UK.
