The first CVSU Community Builder “Safe and Social” event will take place in Thaxted on Thursday 22nd August. It’s a free social event for people aged over 55, with a focus on safety and spending time with our neighbours.

Anyone can be a scam victim, join us to learn about types of scams, how to spot the signs, learn top tips – what can you do to protect yourself and/or others? And how to report a scam.
2.15PM Digital Technology Workshop
Technology: how you might use everyday kit to make your life easier. A chat about technology and a demonstration of some kit – for example, using a Google Home Mini or Amazon Echo.
2.45PM Live Entertainment over an Afternoon Tea Buffet
If you can’t make the whole event, you’re welcome to come for just a part of it, attendance is free, but booking is essential
