We are pleased to announce that Kemi Badenoch the MP for Saffron Walden has kindly agreed to be our new Patron.
Kemi is Vice-Chair of the Conservative Party and a member of the Justice Select Committee. Before being elected to Parliament she was a Conservative member of the London Assembly, acting as the GLA Conservative’s spokesperson for the economy. Her other areas of interest include engineering and technology, social mobility and integration. She provides regular mentoring to women who wish to pursue careers in technology.
We conveyed to Kemi the importance of the charity sector and the struggle some smaller charities face and we will be liaising with Kemi should matters effecting the 3rd sector be raised in parliament.
